Summary

injective is the only blockchain specifically designed for cross-chain trading, derivatives, and web3 applications. Positioned to become the premier global destination for DeFi ecosystem builders.

Injective has a good positioning, serving institutional financial sector or providing financial services can generate a sustainable stream of revenue for the blockchain. It is a path that require a complex system of compliance that lead to an average but steady growth.

The biggest problem injective is facing is being a good market fit with a low revenue!! Injective is probably in a pre-growth stage, having a large portfolio of solutions, ready for their future clients, waiting or maneuvering for traction.

If we focus on the INJ alone, then the token is designed to increase in price through two mechanisms :

  • - staking,
  • - buyback and burn,

a large portion of INJ supply is staked, while the burning program depend on the ecosystem revenue.

Allocating no more than 2% of an entire crypto portfolio is probably the right thing to do, depending on the size of your portfolio.

6- Ecosystem

They say that injective will never have a success like general purpose blockchains have such as ethereum and solana, because injective is a specialized blockchain in a niche market. Well that’s the trick, if injectve is specialized in finance, that’s a huge niche !!

in my opinion, injective has a good offering and has the potential to evolve considerably in the coming years.

For injective to be successful, they need to become the platform of choice for FinTech developers. Which in fact is a small population, few people know technologies such as TS, GO, Python, Cosmos,…. Many beginner developers rely on youtube tutorials to learn about specific SDKs and APIs, the problem is that injective does not have a lot of tutorials in youtube.

the injective ambassadors program exist to incentivize educational content but apparently it is not working, many educators on youtube have a huge following and are skilled on simplifying complicated concept for beginners.

On the other side the DeFi business is not easy, some exchanges are successful, but others like BITMEX, CoinEx, BitMart,… did not find a buyer and were forced to shut down. So it is not only about the successful launch, it’s about surviving the prolonged bear market, avoiding cybercrime,…

Crypto exchanges are now part of history and no one will think about a developer launching a DEX on injective as an innovator, unless he target a local market by obtaining a license !

For injecive to increase its revenue, they need to attract new DeFi innovators, and it is clear that there is a lot of new financial services that can be launched, i mean if you are deeply pocketed or well funded !

In my opinion, injective is sustainable and can expand in the future, they will probably launch their own USD stablecoin, or obtain a chartered bank license, …..

6-C- Apps - TokenStation

TokenStation allow users to :

  • - create,
  • - launch,
  • - manage,
  • - mint,
  • - burn,…

tokens seamlessly on injective.

6-D- injective HUB

the injective hub brings together wallet management, staking, governance, bridging, and the community buyback in one unified platform.

6-E- Bridge

bridge.injective.network Allow users to effortlessly bridge various crypto assets from ethereum, solana, Polygon, Cosmos IBC, and more onto injective with its reliable and efficient protocol bridge solution.

6-F- Governance

6-F-1- Governance – community

injective is a community-run blockchain, and users who have staked INJ can participate in governance as it relates to the blockchain. Proposals can be submitted to make revisions to injective programs, tech upgrades, or any other injective related changes that impact the entire injective ecosystem.

6-F-2- Governance – injective council

joining the injective council provides exclusive access to shape injective’s growth strategy alongside top ecosystem leaders. Members receive early insights into upcoming initiatives while actively influencing priorities through their unique expertise. This represents a rare opportunity to directly lead governance-driven innovation.

6-G- Promotion

6-G-1- Events - injective summit

injective summit gathers institutions, policymakers, and innovators to define the next chapter of modern financial markets.

6-G-2- influencer partnership

the ambassadors program is open to content creators, organizers, developers, and educators who want to grow injective worldwide. Write threads, produce videos, host meetups, or build tutorials, and earn INJ rewards based on the impact of their work.

6-H- Staking

the injective hub brings together wallet management, staking, governance, bridging, and the community buyback in one unified platform.

injective follows a proof-of-stake mechanism, in which users can stake their INJ tokens with certain injective nodes that validate transactions (validators). In return, the user can obtain staking rewards in INJ.

injective is secured via staking, which is an essential use case for INJ. Validators and delegators can freely participate in the injective network via staking.

6-H-1- Validators

validators operate nodes on injective,

6-H-2- Delegators

delegators can assign INJ to a particular node of choice.

6-I- Ecosystem tokens

6-I-1- Wrapped INJ (wINJ)

Some dApps (including DEXes), only accept ERC20 tokens in their interfaces, and thus INJ does not work with them. The solution is to create an ERC20 token which wraps INJ, called ‘’wrapped INJ’’. Its token symbol is wINJ. Thus any dApp that accepts ERC20 tokens accepts wINJ.

6-I-2- Staked INJ (stINJ)

stINJ is liquid staked INJ, it unlocks the potential of INJ for wide-spread use in Cosmos DeFi.

6-J- Trading

injective trading is a decentralized network optimized for finance and traders, it provide advanced trading tools and liquidity programs designed for institutional traders and market makers.

6-K- Wallet

the injective wallet allows users to monitor their assets on injective. Assets can be native tokens on injective, as well as bridged assets from ethereum, solana, polygon and various IBC-enabled chains.

7- Stakeholders

7-A- Corporate treasury

Pineapple Financial (NYSE American: PAPL) is the world’s largest publicly traded INJ holder, provides unmatched onchain yield and institutional-grade INJ exposure while advancing tokenization and the next era of global markets. According to FORM 10-Q for the nine month period ended May 31, 2026. As of May 31, 2026 Pineapple Financial Inc held 7,561,000 INJ.

7-B- ETFs

Data as o Sep 21, 2026

Ticker ETF AUM
AINJ 21shares injective staking ETP $1,606,894
Valour Injective SEK $2,804,500
Total USD $4,411,394

7-C- Staking

7-C-1- Staking - Validators

INJ is used to reward validators for participation in transaction validation and block creation. Rewards for validators comprise newly minted INJ (block rewards) and a portion of the associated transaction fees.

7-C-2- Staking - Delegates

Holders of INJ may also participate in staking without necessarily having to operate a node to earn a share of validators rewards. To do so, users delegate INJ to validators. In return for locking up INJ, users earn a share of the validators’s INJ rewards.

8- injective ups and downs

injective white paper intitial tokenomics saw many updates, but some elements in the document are still relevant. Actually the native token of the onchain economy. INJ is 100 % fully circulating with:

  • no future unlocks,
  • no vesting schedules,
  • and no insider token releases.
  • a monthly community buyback that permanently removes(deflationary) tokens from supply.

Injective tokenomics allow for events such as:

  • issuance,
  • staking,
  • burning,

8-A- Supply

Data in the table below inspired from etherscan.io and injhub.com/stake as of Sep 20, 2026

Data in the table below is estimate only and is not official.

Metric Data
circulating supply 41,984,042.00
staked 57,986,913.00
x 29,045.00
max total supply 100,000,000.00

8-B- Emission

INJ is used to reward validators for participation in transaction validation and block creation. Rewards for validators comprise newly minted INJ (block rewards) and a portion of the associated transaction fees.

8-C- Community Buy-back and burn mechanism

the community buyback is a monthly onchain event that allows anyone to take part in injective’s deflationary mechanism. Participants commit INJ, and in return receive a pro rata share of the revenue generated across the injective ecosystem. INJ exchanged is then permanently burned, reducing the total supply.

8-D- Staking

Portion of INJ staked is relatively high, probably because of the profitable APR proposed by the platform.

Data in the table below is from injhub.com/stake As of Sep 19, 2026

Metric Data
Total active validators 45
Total staked INJ 58,006,188

9- Why would someone need to buy injective?

9-A- Validator node

validator participate in consensus by proposing and voting on blocks. Requires staked INJ as collateral and high-availability hardware. Validator need to deposit their INJ tokens into their account on injective by using the staking dashboard.

9-B- Proposal creation

for governance, INJ is used for proposal creation and token-weighted voting on active proposals. As a spam deterrent, injective requires a minimum deposit, made in INJ, for the proposal to move on to the voting stage. Upon creating a proposal, community member must deposit at least 10 INJ to submit it for governance. For the proposal to pass to the voting stage, 100 INJ must also be deposited. This can be deposited directly by the proposer or in collaboration with other community members.

9-C- Voting

during the voting process, only staked INJ is eligible to participate in voting for governance, INJ is used for:

9-C-1- Voting quorum

33.4 % of INJ holders must vote on a proposal for the vote to be considered

9-C-2- Passing a Vote

33.4 % of INJ holders must vote and 50 % of those votes must be ‘’yes’’ for the proposal to pass.

9-D- Medium of exchange

INJ is used as the default asset to facilitate the purchase and sale of goods and services between parties on the blockchain. Common examples of this are :

  • - paying for transaction fees (gas),
  • - buying/selling NFTs,
  • - paying for trading fees,
  • - depositing the asset as collateral,…

Additionally, all protocol revenue generated by applications leveraging injective’s shared liquidity layer via the exchange module is accumulated in INJ.

9-E- Fee Tier

Traders who meet threshold criteria for minimum staked INJ and minimum trading volume on a 28-day rolling basis are eligible for discounts on injective trading fees.

9-F- ERC20 Contract deployment

to prevent denom spam, deploying an ERC20 contract via the ERC20 module is a payable operation and requires a deployment fee of 1 INJ.

10- Why injective go down ?

10-A- dApps

in the injective blockchain, transaction are paid in INJ, a decrease in apps activity can lower demand demand for INJ and push its price down.

10-B- Competition

Layer 1 Blockchains with focus on DeFi is actually not an innovation monopole, it is a competitive market, Injective slowing upgrades can lead to the loss of significant market share, the decline in demand for INJ and its price going down.

10-C- Rewards distribution

Rewards for the Open Liquidity Program (OLP) are disbursed in the form of INJ, injective’s native utility and governance token.

10-D- Unstaking

when holders unstake their INJ they increase INJ circulating supply, by doing so they can push the price down.

10-D-1- Unstaking - Delegators

If Injective delegators find better alternative, they will not renew their INJ staking, by doing so they will increase INJ supply and can push INJ price down.

10-D-2- Unstaking - Validators

if validators start quitting the Injective validators program, they will unstake INJ. This can increase INJ circulating supply and push the price down.

10-D-3- Unstaking - Exchanges

if an exchange unlist INJ as a token stakable in its platform, it force its users to unstake their INJ, and decrease INJ exposure to new users interested in staking INJ. And this can increase INJ circulating supply, pushing the price down.

10-E- List of possible other reasons Stacks price can go down:

Stakeholder How they can push the price down?
Community start taking profit, selling their injective position
individual and organizations developers find an alternative, no longer interested in integrating injective in their platforms
Social media influencer Start criticizing injective
Asset managers unable or not interested in launching a injective ETF.

ADS

11- Why injective go up ?

11-A- Community Buy-back

the community buyback process rewards the community, increases scarcity of INJ, and aligns long-term value with ecosystem success. Each 28 days, a portion of ecosystem-generated revenue is used to burn INJ, reducing total supply. The total INJ collected from all participants is permanently burned, reducing the total supply of INJ.

Some of the community buy-back data and history can be found here

injective has an uncapped supply, new INJ token are constantly issued. Tokenomics allow for tokens burning, which can lead to supply reduction when ever burning exceed new emissions.

INJ becoming scare can push the price up.

11-B- Competition

injective is actually a struggling challenger, they are not leading, it appears that they are slowly climbing. injective serving institutional means that they could build a sustainable revenue stream, materializing success in this field can lead to increase in demand for INJ and its price going up.

11-C- Helix dex activity

Helix is an important app on injective, an increase in network activity by HELIX means more exchange fees and can push INJ price up.

11-D- DeFi

as you can see in injective ecosystem statistics, DeFi is not the category counting the most projects, even if injective positione itself as a DeFi specialist. the progressive adoption of decentralized finance technology is expected to globally generate demand for Layer 1 DeFi solutions. For example the launch of lending borrowing platform can mean more demand for INJ and its price going up.

11-E- Upgrades

governance proposal introducing network upgrades, solving problems or providing new features can increase demand and push INJ price up. Such upgrades pushed the price up by 66% (2 weeks) in the past.

11-F- New integration or feature release

the launch of new integration and features that are awaited by some developers or users because they can solve problems or increase utility. Such upgrades lead to 12 % price increase for INJ in past.

11-G- Staking

11-G-1- Staking - Delegators

Injective delegators can stake INJ, this reduce circulating supply for very short duration or medium duration if renewed.

11-G-2- Staking - Validators

if Injective attract more validators, they will be required to stake INJ. This can reduce INJ circulating supply and push the price up.

11-G-3- Staking - Exchanges

when an exchange add INJ to the list of token stakable in its platform, it increase INJ exposure to users interested in staking. And more staking by new users from new exchange can reduce INJ circulating supply, pushing the price up.

11-H- Listing in new exchanges

the listing of INJ in new exchanges lead to 10 % increase in INJ price in the past, such listing can attract investors and traders. Listing in large exchanges with large user base can reduce circulating supply and push the price up.

11-I- Regulatory readiness

as a DeFi ecosystem serving institutional, injective must comply with local capital markets regulation and obtain the appropriate licenses to do business in each major financial hub. Injective becoming a SEC-registered transfer agent will allow institutional to use the platform in a compliant way, and such licenses can increase the prospect of a growth of injective securities tokenization market share. The announcement of a new regulatory registration can lead to an increase in INJ price by 8 %.

11-J- New ETF filing

an asset manager can spend years building a loyal clients base through efficient advisory services, an asset manager considering a cryptocurrency for the launch of a new ETF means that it passed basic or complex due diligence processes and that an investment professional is detecting a potential for future profitability in investing in that crypto. The announcement of an asset manager filing with the SEC for the launch of a new ETF can lead to 3.7 % increase in price.

11-K- injective fund raising

the news of injective successfully raising funds from investors can lead to 20 % increase in INJ price. Those investors are more engaged than a simple analyst, and obviously can not risk their money unless a serious work of due diligence and analysis is performed.

11-L- List of possible other reasons the price can go up:

Stakeholder How they can push the price up?
Asset managers launch new injective ETF.
Community Mobilize for more injective purchase
individual and organizations developers more interested in integrating injective in their platforms
Social media influencer Promote injective
